Need to show an outstanding pledge for any records that are related to a constituent record. If you are applying a gift to a record and the spouse has an outstanding pledge, you should get the automated window asking if you want to apply the gift to that pledge. This should also be true if a business is making a payment. We have constituents that have an outstanding pledge and they send a company check in to cover it. When we apply the gift to the company record we have no way of knowing the individual with a relationship to the company has an outstanding pledge. We are sending pledge reminders to people that have paid their pledge either by sending in a business check or their spouse sending in a check and we do not know there is an outstanding pledge in the spouse or business owner's record that is supposed to be paid with the gift.
