We use security by constituency in our organization to restrict access of certain records to user groups. When this is enabled, users are unable to search for relationship records. They are able to view the relationship record when that related record is open, but unable to search. This isn't helpful if the user doesn't know to whom the relationship is related or if it even exists. The relationships don't have a constituency code so when you use security by constituency, the user is denied access to search them. This has caused duplicate records to happen since the user searches for them, can't find them and then needlessly create another record when they could have used the initial relationship record which did not come up in their search.
