On the constituent search window, it would be helpful to have the option to either change the order of the search fields, or change the tab order. I know you can select a default search field, but that's not helpful if you sometimes search by last name, and other times search by consID. Another example is last name and state, you have to tab 11 times to get from last name to state. Data entry efficiency is all about number of key strokes.
I completely agree! I found it somewhat cumbersome before the new "enhanced" searching, but now it's just crazy inefficient. You either need to use the mouse, or tab a lot to get to where you want to be. I would like to either hide search fields that we don't use (i.e. SSN), change the order they appear on the window, or have keyboard shortcuts to move to a particular field (i.e. alt+a moves to the Address field).
Overall, I find RE to be much too mouse-dependant. I do like the keyboard shortcuts that are available, but there could be so many more that would save a ton of key strokes or need to switch from keyboard to mouse.
