Ability to mark a user account as inactive

We have several staff that have come and gone, and we'd like to clean up our security section. We want to retain their user account in RE since some of these now-inactive users have created records or been the last person to change a record and we don't want to lose that history/data (which would be the case if we delete the user account). It would be perfect if there was a way to mark user accounts as inactive, then a checkbox at the bottom of the security section that allows you to "display active entries only" like the Configuration > Tables section has.

That information isn't lost when you delete a user, as deleting a user doesn't actually remove a record; it just flags it as deleted so it can't be used. Records created/last changed by a "deleted" user will still show as having been created/changed by that user.

Agree with Kraeg, what I believe you may lose access to is queries/reports etc that the user created depending on what settings they used.
Inactive would be a nice option.

Glad to see this here. I was told at BBCON 2015 that you should not delete a user but mark them "inactive". When I came back from conference, I searched to see where I can mark a user "Inactive" and I didn't find anything in RE and thought I was going nuts.
