add package as a filter on appeal reports

Appeal reports should be able to be easily filtered by package - it is a basic subset of an appeal and is the most common filter I need.

I am completely blown away that this feature is not included Package ID. It literally is NO different than Appeal, Fund or Category. It is a HUGE HUGE disservice to all that work with data/reports. I tried using the "Package Category" to help with this (per someone's suggestion) and it doesn't work either. Come on Raiser's Edge, info that you put in should easily be pulled out. Our reports should be able to be filtered by the same fields as well! RE is full of very poor database capabilities that should be simple!! Do better Raiser's Edge, Do Better!

I agree. Unfortunately, you cannot export an appeal analysis to Excel without losing formatting or information. When I try to re-format within Excel, the rows do not stay intact. When I try to export with different settings, the package information gets omitted. Ultimately, I want to export so I can sort on appeal and/or package results.

I would be happy to be able to exclude the inactive packages - this is beyond frustrating!

We have a mailing that can either be a package or an appeal depending on the year, who set it up in RE, how it was handled that particular year, etc.

To be able to run a report on this particular mailing without having to create a query to find the records first would be fabulous!

An alpha sort option based on package would be worthwhile also.
