netcommunity recurring gifts

Recurring gift payments should automatically be charged in Netcommunity on the date the payment is due. Right now it's a manual process, you have to remember to create the batch and process the gifts yourself. In Sphere, the payment is automatically charged and you are notified, you just pull over the gift to batch. The manual process in Netcommunity is inefficient.

We switched from Converge to BBMS and On Line Express using the donation forms, I find having to remember to do an EFT batch monthly is a pill.  If converger/merchant services which is  a dinosaur system can process reoccurring gifts automatically monthly so can BBMS.  This needs to change, I am not sure why this functionality hasn't already been implemented do you not look at what your competition does when rolling out or updating your products?

This is not just about NetCommunity. this should be the feature with all recurring gifts in BBPS.

Convio also automatically charges the cards. Do not ask me why they have purtchased all these products with all these abilities and do not incorporate them into their core products!

Would love if BBNC, BBPS, BBMS, or RE would be able to perform this task!

Yes, thank you!! We recently switched to BBMS from another company that did not offer the integration with RE, but did allow for automatic payments. Now that we have switched over to BBMS, we now have the integration, but we do not have the automation. It is apparent to me that it is possible since the other company offered that service.

We don't have a huge recurring gifts program, but even with the few we have it is a pain. Because of our policies and audit procedures recurring gift batch isn't an option for us.

I have also found that donors are expecting it to charge their card at the time they make the recurring gift. But if the recurring gift date is the 15th and they make the gift on the 3rd their card is not initially charged.

I would also like to pull recurring gifts over without using batch. We typically do not use batch for pledges or recurring gifts. Having to process the recurring gift itself (not the payments) in batch is a hassle. If it ends up in a batch with cash gifts it is a mess for us so we end up with a batch that has one gift.

Donors also do not receive email receipts for subsequent payments. We then have to issue paper acknowledgements or use eReceipts (a process that we don't like).

I guess that's my list of grievances so far.

Please do this! I had several recurring gifts set up through RE/NetCommunity and ended up removing them all because of the pain it was to remember it. I now have it set up another way that automatically does it. Don't understand why BB makes certain things like this so complicated.

Totally agree! We have recently moved to using BBPS and NetCommunity and I was completely surprised to discover that we have to manually charge for recurring gifts and pledge payments each month. Our old system charged them automatically so I was very shocked to find out that the BB system did not do this. It is a pain, very inefficient, and annoying.

Many of my clients using BBNC to capture and create recurring gifts are now, on a daily process, creating a new gift batch to pull in any recurring donation due on or before that date. This prevents you from having to create 'recurring batches' which can be a pain to maintain - and make it easier on the user to not have to keep track of who is to be charged when. I don't believe this is possible without the EFT module component, but has worked just fine for my clients who have transitioned away from using recurring batches to process credit card and ACH monthly gifts.

Uhmm . . yes! This is 2016 folks . . and having to remember to create and pull a batch for each of your funds and your donors is a PAIN IN THE . . . If you have separate bank accounts this requires you to run separate EFT's for each . . . there has to be a way to automate!!
