There should be a way to edit letter templates without having to run a mailmerge.

To run a mailmerge, you need to have a record that both fits the query criteria attached to the mailing and one that has not yet been acknowledged. There are cases when you do not have an unacknowledged record available. Thus, you either have to go back and manually unacknowledge an already-acknowledged record or create a fake record just for the merge to run. This is currently the only way to access the template.

This is a lengthy process when there could just be an "edit letter template" option.
