We use the import utility to import constituents, their membership and associated information from an external data feed. However, there is no import capability to allow the addition of the membership renewal schedule on the recurring gift that is linked to the membership. This means that each imported recurring gift needs to be manually edited to add the schedule information.

We cannot use the 'Add Renewal Schedule' plug-in because each recurring gift can have a different membership dues value.

It is proposed that a new import is created for the membership renewal schedule or the 'Membership Linked Gift' import is changed to allow the inclusion of the membership renewal schedule fields. My preference would be to include the schedule in the 'Membership Linked Gift' import so the schedule can be added at the same time as the gift is linked to the membership.

The fields on the import could include the gift import ID or gift ID; Membership dues; Renew Every; Renew Frequency; Reason; Comment
