Use Const Code dates for New Comparisons and Summaries Report

I'm trying to compare giving by constituent on a year-to-year basis. I thought the New Comparisons and Summaries Report would give me what I wanted, but it seems to count a constituent in 1 code only, not based on their code that year. So, for example, gifts from an alumnus who joined the board in 2020 are being counted as Board in every year, not just the year they were an active board member. We are using date fields on the constituent codes. I don't know how else to get a yearly comparison to show how board giving has grown/declined over the past 3-5 years, for example. Or how alumni giving has changed....

When you try to report on constituency code in the Comparisons and Summaries report for two Annual Fund Fiscal Years by Constituency code your choices on the Format/Detail tab are 1. Include constituent for the primary field value or 2. Include constituent for all field values. There should be another radio dial that allows you to select constituent codes by From/To Dates that correspond to the dates selected in the report. When comparing two years of giving this report doesn't work for several constituents (i.e. Students/Alums, Current Parent/Past Parent, Faculty-Staff/Former Faculty-Staff, Trustee/Alum/Current Parent/etc. If you are comparing FY'22 vs. FY'21 and the donor was a student in FY'21 and graduated and gave again in FY'22 their constituent code is now Alum. The report should put the giving for last year in the student bucket and this year's giving in the alum bucket. Same for the parent who was a current parent last year and is now a past parent.

This additional radio dial should be available on all reports that allow reporting based on Constituent Codes so the From/To dates are taken into account during the time period the report is running.
