Import or global add of Seating Group for Participants in Event record

There should be an option to impor the participant seating group into The Raiser's Edge when particpant import is being done. I discussed with customer services and currently we cannot do this in The Raiser's Edge. This is really frustrating as I have to add about 1000 particpants to the event record for our upcoming dinner but even if I import all these I have to open them one by one to assign a seating group. I think it would be great if that can be imported or atleast added globally.

    funny that you can import seating group notes but not the actual seating. We import the group notes, then go to the seating chart sort by group notes, and then manually seat them. Lots of work to do when an import of the actual seating would make it much easier.
