Encrypting Date of Birth Information

Encrypting date of birth information, in the same way that social security numbers and financial information is encrypted, alleviates the organizations' legal responsibility to notify members during a data breach. Encrypting this information would benefit all Blackbaud clients in the event of a future data breach.

    Agreed. This should be a no brainer and has bigger implications for student birth dates as well.

    We recently had a RE7 data theft. Three states (I think they are WY, WA, MD) require notification if the data of birth data is stolen. Please encrypt this field.
