I want the ability to add an action to a GIFT record. In addition to tracking whether a gift was acknowledged, receipted, posted, etc., I need to track many other gift-specific actions, almost like a checklist. For example, for a multi-year pledge - we have several actions that need to be completed for the pledge to be considered an enforceable pledge (i.e. a signed gift agreement, etc.).  These actions are very specific to the GIFT rather than to the constituent. (I could have three gifts for a single constituent that need specific actions completed on all of them.) 

One additional benefit to adding Actions on Gifts is that, by allowing the action to be on the GIFT, I don't have to choose which person in the spouse pair to add the action to.
