Solicit codes and consent are part of “Biographical” in the merge function.  Merging adds the ConsCode from the duplicate record, and other information from the bio1 tab, such as the tick boxes “is inactive”, “requests no email” etc – which are nothing to do with the consent record.  Another problem with the merge is that it adds the solicit codes from the original record, so if the original was YES emails, and the new one was NO emails, it ends up with BOTH these solicit codes.  You have to then manually update the solicit code(s) to reflect the latest consent(s).
