This is definitely a worthwhile suggestion and I really hope Blackbaud does something about it soon. We record in actions the events donors are doing for us (every event has it's own action) and within the action all communication is added via notes. Some donors participate in multiple fundraising events within a short period of time and we though this would be the simplest way to record what communication was for that particular event. Currently we have an issue as we can not see what the true last point of communication is without going into the action.
You can sort actions by date by clicking on the column header. You can choose to have them appear in ascending or descending by date. FYI you can click on any of the column headers to have RE sort actions accordingly. I don't quite understand your suggestion. Am I missing something?
No, the issue here is that if you have more than one notepad on a given action, the only notepad description that will show in the "Notepad Description" column on the Action tab is the first notepad entered on that Action record. So, if a second note was added to update that Action, you would have to open the action to see it.
This is definitely a worthwhile sugestion. On the main action tab you can choose to add columns for the notepad but as anonymous said - it only displays the first notepad - not the most recent. I am not sure we have many where we add a second notepad but if we did I suppose the most recent one would be best to show.
Yes! The current setup is absurd. From the gift officer perspective, I need to see the MOST RECENT notepad in the Action as soon as I open the Actions tab. Seeing where the Action started doesn't help me in my relationship now; I need to know where that Action ended up (i.e. the most recent event in that relationship).
