household total contributions
Total household giving: Provide an option for total household giving in reports, queries, exports. If I run a "Top Donors" report, or create a donors whose "summary gift total is greater than $X" query, spouses show up separately. If a husband gave $3,000 and the wife gave $2,000, they would not show up in a "Donors GT $5,000" report. There should be a way to include total household giving and the ability to select which spouse to list, such as head of household. It would also be helpful when running a Top Donor Report to be able to combine the donor's individual gifts combined with gifts from a Family Foundation or family-owned business.

There should be a set of totals, such as HH Total Amount of Gifts, HH Total Number of Gifts..., under Summary Information for Constituent Query criteria.
We have giving levels at our university. I need to pull husband and wife totals. It is fine if all their gifts are soft credited but we have couples that have made gifts before they were married so then when you try to pull total giving for the couple you don't get the gifts that did not have a soft credit--therefore an inaccurate total. I need to be able to pull all their gifts together as a couple whether there was a soft credit or not.
We use soft credit and include in reports to get the total giving. Don't know how else you could really include spouse/foundation $ and still keep accurate donor records.
