Since Blackbaud has moved many of its users to the Cloud pushing organizations away from regular backups, the company has imposed a $200 fee that organizations must pay if a file is accidentally deleted. The $200 is to retrieve a temporary backup of the database, and this fee can apply even if an organization needs to only delete one file. To be more user-friendly, Blackbaud should allow for a "recycle bin" of sorts that holds a very limited amount of data but allows us to retrieve valuable data that could potentially be lost.
