If the Gift ID could be in the acknowledgement letter, for those that are CC'd in the letter, it would save the time ogenerating a report for those who will be requesting a transfer of funds down the road.  The Gift ID will be right in the letter for their reference.  I am sure there are multiple other uses/benefits for having this field available.
