Unfortunately, because Raiser's Edge houses a large amount of potentially personal information and provides mechanisms for processing payments (namely credit cards), we are subject to a number of standards and scrutiny stemming from both industry standards (such as PCI) and internal policies (that is owned by our internal cyber security team). All that to say that unfortunately this functionality is not a matter of preference or optional for the time being. Protection of donor and cardholder data is being prioritized over user convenience in this case, and I don't think that is likely to change any time soon in a world where data breaches are becoming all too common.
