Problem: To enter a benefit during the batching process, users currently have to open a separate "Benefits" window (found under the "Gifts" tab). This process takes a lot of time, especially when entering a large batch with many benefits.
Proposed Solution: When batching, "Benefits" fields would allow users to enter benefits directly into the batch. These batch fields would link to the receipt amount. This would cut out the extra step of entering each benefit separately from the batch (i.e., in the "Benefits" window) for an accurate receipt amount.
Extra Mile Solution: Since some organizations offer multiple benefits depending on the gift size and appeal, having a number of benefits columns available [as an option during batch setup] would allow a given batch to contain multiple benefits. During batch setup, columns could either be set for a single default benefit, or left blank to allow for individual entry of different benefits.
I am shocked this has not received more votes. This is a critical issue and makes some of our biggest batch entry processes nearly impossible to do.
