YES! I'm showing my age here, but back in the old DOS days of RE version 5, you could enter a last name, org name, or constituent ID into the primary search field (Last/Org Name) and get appropriate results. Having that ability in the Quick Find (and Last/Org Name) would be a real time saver!
BB521772 How to use Quick find to search by Constituent ID
This is a user option. To establish the search information format:
1. Select Tools, User Options
2. Click Records
3. Highlight Individuals
4. Mark the "You can choose how to enter constituent names when entering constituents on other records" box
5. Select Constituent ID as the name format
Brenda, thanks for that tip. It has two unfortunate side effects. #1 it then disables being able to search by name in Quick Find. #2 it changes the format of the name Solicitor name being displayed on the Action tab (and Action window) to the Constituent ID instead of the solicitor's name.
