Often, organizations will change their Campaign, Fund and Appeal structure to more closely match their reporting needs. Currently, if a gift has an adjustment on it, those fields can only be updated manually when cleaning up history. This is onerous and time consuming!
We are updating our processes to have an appeal and campaign on every gift for this year and going forward. We have a lot of gifts that this will need to be manually added to because there is an adjustment on the record.
Our Finance department recently changed the Fund ID for one of our branches, but neglected to tell Rev Dev for a few months. Now I have 650+ gifts to change the Fund ID on, but they have already been reported to Finance so I will also need to issue a report to Finance for the gifts that need updating. Being able to do a Global Add or Import Adjustment would make it easier for reporting
For those in the know, it is miss-leading that the Import Update process allows the process to happen, only for the update to fail and a return message as the field is read only.
