In the Membership module, each membership card has a value called "card expires" that dictates when the card itself expires based on the membership expiration date.  Currently, this field defaults to "Same dates as membership," meaning that the card itself, if scanned, registers as expired at the start of the day the membership expires.  For my institution, this means that our members lose, effectively, one day of membership.  We would like to change this so memberships expire either at the end of the day the membership expires or the day following the day the membership expires.

It is possible to update existing memberships with the new value--and even possible to update them globally via Import--but all new memberships will be added with the default value.

Currently there is no way to change what the default value for this field is, either for all memberships or for any particular membership.  It would be very nice if this feature could be added, as not having it renders the ability to adjust this value relatively moot for an institution that processes as many memberships as we do.
