We have over 2,000 funds and every time I do a fund specific query or export I have to sort by Fund ID number, scroll through to find the right fund id, add it to the "one of" column, REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT, REPEAT. I should be able to at the very least search by fund id and NOT have to RE-SORT the list every single time. This would be a major time saver for anyone who has a large number of funds that relies more on Fund ID as opposed to Fund Description.
Blackbaud does not know it, but they have a partner whose software is in their Market Place that addresses queries differently. If I get this right, it seems that you have to create a Microsoft mail merge that returns more than an ample amount of data and then you have to sift through the results. This new software add-on bypasses the mail merge, and makes a call directly to the SQL database to return the record directly in a fraction of the time. This is not a solicitation, this is a fact, and you can look at the Market Place for ReceipterPro , investigate yourself and make your own decision on who has a handle on queries.
