We need to be able to customize how the participant's name appears in the Events module beyond just "First Last" and "Last, First". Specifically, I would like the ability to show the "Name to print on place card" rather than the "Name" for seating, participants tab, etc.
Because our database is set-up with "One-record-per-household" rather than "One-record-per-individual", we have to figure out a workaround for how to identify which spouse member is registering for an event, and specifying it in the "Name to print on place card" field is the only workaround I have come up with so far. However, what shows up in the seating chart and the Participants tab is the primary constituent's name regardless of which constituent we're "registering". Having the ability to show "Name to print on place card" would allow us to identify which constituent on a record that specific participant registration refers to.
I'd love for the overall functionality to be more applicable with "One-record-per-household" databases and have voted for that idea as well, but in the meantime or at the very least, this easy fix gives us something to work with, and it would also be useful for people who have a specific addressee/salutation preference rather than just "Name".
