include class year in constituent search dropdown results

Often times we have many, sometimes up to 8, constituents with the same name.  Unless I know where they live (and many times they're in the same region), I have no idea which one is the one I'm looking for.  Including the constituents' class year in the dropdown results would enable me to choose the right person from the start, instead of the wrong one, then have to go back and type the name again, then remember which was the wrong one I chose last and hope for the right one, etc etc.

I'm just resurrecting this issue, hopefully, for some resolution.  For instance, if my boss calls out to me, "Look up Joe Murphy, class of '83 and tell me x about him," how on earth will I know which Joe Murphy he's referencing unless I have all the addresses memorized for each constituent? My only option from NXT is to click on each Joe Murphy until I find the right one.  Meanwhile, my boss is waiting...

If middle initials can be included in the dropdown, why not the class year also?  This has to be programmed from NXT's side.  It cannot be added to a query or a search or anything like that like you can do in the database view.

    Please make this a priority!!!

This is still a concern.  Would love to see class years included in dropdown results!

How do I bump this idea to the top?!

Thanks JoAnn - I put my guru on it, but her response was:

"The query search screen works for RE.  I don’t see that option for NXT.

The only option I have seen on NXT is when the name you are searching for appears is to click on the Search Relation Records for a list of similar names."

I don't this this should be creating a query, but rather just part of what appears.  How was it determined that in the drop-down, it would display last name, first name, and first line of address?  Wherever that was decided, it should be enabled at that point to also display the class year.

You can put the grad year in a year and set that query as the default query for your search window.  Works well!
