I'd like to be able to export files straight from Raiser's Edge into a local networked drive. This was possible when Raiser's was hosted locally but since our organization switched to being hosted online we have lost this ability. This means that retrieving an export is much more cumbersome and time consuming that in the past, which adds up when you encounter a project that may require dozens (or more) exports to get the data needed.
I'd also add that although Blackbaud has added the ability to move exports straight onto the local C: Drive, this doesn't really save work as all exports still have to be moved from the C: Drive to the network drive so all users can see it.
We just moved to hosting and it is the biggest complaint I've received from users. It's very time consuming to have to export every file/report/etc. to a local C: drive, and then find and move it to a network drive. Our C: drives are not backed up so we are required to save everything on a network drive. Also, anytime we need to add an item to RE we have to move it from the network drive and save it on the C: drive. This adds a ton of extra work and time for users. There has to be a work-around for this.
Not being able to export to network drives basically means that for us using Queue is useless. We would like to have files automatically transferred to our network drives so these file can be picked up by other systems. While being hosted is great for many reasons there are something's that are almost game stoppers and this is one of them.
