Export Last Event Attended

When pulling complex mailing lists or prospect lists, I am asked to provide the last event attended along with a lot of other information. I would like to be able to pull this in an export and not have to run a separate export as was suggested by Blackbaud via Chat https://kb.blackbaud.com/articles/Article/39985. Not sure if it can be added to the summary information where you can customize even further with last event attended and then a date range, or last event attended and then event type as a filter. This would be extremely helpful if this was added.

    tedious solution but it works:

    1) create participation query including all constituents in your report

2)set output to include constituent ID and Event Date. (ie get all attendance records for each person in your list/report)

    3)export the query results

    4) sort query results by date (newest to oldest if you need last event attended)

    5) Vlookup into your original export results.

This works because Vlookup will only return the first result found in the range despite there being multiple attendace for each constituent in the query results.

Please add this function. I am consistently asked for previous engagement or first time engagement, which includes event participation. I have to look it up individually if the total number is greater than 1.

    This thread in community (

    https://community.blackbaud.com/forums/viewtopic/159/33606?post_id=126053#p126053)

talks about current options to get this information, but it's not easy; you have to have Crystal Reports skills to do it. Can we please get an "easy" button for this BlackBaud? It seems like such a no-brainer that we'd be able to easily get this since it's such an excellent indicator of engagement. Thanks for considering!
