I know that when I worked with eTapestry, which I believe is owned by Blackbaud, we were able to process credit cards right in the customer/member's record.
This would be very useful! Often there are only a few credit cards to be processed for memberships and creating a batch is not necessary when there are only a few. It would be so helpful to be able to process credit cards within an individual gift record instead of only within a batch.
This would also benefit constituents that give donations. It would be very helpful if everything could be done within a single constituent record ie. process the credit card, provide all of the gift information (appeal, dates, etc,) and generate a receipt all at one time. Even when processing everything in a batch, the receipt cannot be generated so we have to go into the record afterwards and pull the receipt.
I agree 100%. This option would be beneficial for many different aspects when using RE. It would make processes more efficient too.

The process of submitting credit card charges is unnecessarily complicated.
