Cleaning Code Tables

When cleaning a code table which has a lot of entries in it, it would be really helpful if it didn't jump back up to the top of the table once you had cleaned one entry.

Changing the status of this idea to Voting Open because it's been reviewed. While not currently planned, this will remain open for voting and future consideration as a change.

It would also be helpful if the system could help you identify where old lingering codes reside. Certain fields, like Title, can be scattered around the system and hard to track down and ultimately remove.

This applies to all kinds of tables/lists throughout Raiser's Edge. For example, when I edit an Event Participant and go back to the Participant list, it jumps back up to the top of the list. Very challenging if you're trying to go down the list!

Thanks Ryan! I agree with you 100%. There should be an easier and more effective way to see where these codes are hiding. It's frustrating trying to clean up tables.

It would be great to run a report similar to the code tables report where you could at least how many times a field entry is being used. Right now we have to query on the table entry to see how many records have that entry.

It would also be nice if ALL tables had the capability to show the Inactive Column with the check box enabling one to quickly inactivate out-dated codes.

Cleaning up tables is a nightmare. The list jumps back up to the top. You can't easily make entries inactive. And this is across the board. I tried to clean up appeals, titles, and cities, and it took forever. It's extremely inefficient to have to do these one at a time.
