Chat needs a chime to notify users when Blackbaud support has responded

It is really frustrating that Blackbaud Chat does not have a chime on it to notify you when the person you are talking to has posted. Blackbaud really needs to address this. Users are left waiting in queue forced to be unproductive while we wait for a response from Support. It is a very inefficient use of users' time to have to wait their turn, watching the queue number drop down so you know when you are next. I also can answer a quick email while waiting for someone to look up an answer for me. Just today I had my chat closed with a message saying, "I see you are not available to chat...." while I typed a two-word reply to an email I received while waiting for a response from Support team member after he greeted me. I hit send and went back to check on my chat and saw the message and had to start all over again. If there had been a chime notifying me of a response, I could have replied immediately. Every single company I have ever chatted with has a chime feature. It makes me not want to use Chat. At least if I'm on hold on the phone, I can still work while I'm on hold and I know when my turn is.

    I agree. The chat has become un-usable. I am regularly #20 or higher in line and have been on "hold" for *AN HOUR* for one question about an error message I cannot find in the Knowledge-base.  I have to keep checking the screen to see if I've been answered. Very frustrating and definitely not quality support.
