I want to stop users converting records. I believe this is a database admin job and should not be available to everyone and it takes too much time to fix it when it is done wrong.

There is a weird workaround by doing the opposite of the instructions here https://kb.blackbaud.com.au/articles/Article/41904 which works, but this also stopped a user updating a donors credit card details for their regular gift so that does not suit for all my users.
