Is there a way to let people record their negative RSVP to an event for a program you post wtih NetCommunity?

For example, I can email a link to the event page, but when they click on it they then register for the event, how do I allow them to say "Sorry, but I can't attend." I can set up a "price unit" of "no" but then they get the very same confirmation email as those who do agree to attend.

Has anyone else found a better solution to this?
