Unapply Pledge Payment from Incorrect Pledge

When a pledge payment is applied to an incorrect pledge, it would be nice to be able to apply it to the correct pledge instead of adjusting that gift to zero and entering a new gift. This functionaility should also be available in adjustments so that if the gift has been posted to the GL, then it can still be unapplied.

    Agreed. It seems like an oversight that you can move payments pledge to pledge, but if you do not want the payment to be applied to a pledge, your only option is to delete it and add it again as a new gift.

    You can do this if the gift is not marked posted. If it is marked posted, you can run the plug in for unposting gifts (Based on a query for just this one gift), reapply the pledge and then be sure to mark it posted again.

    Yes, there is the Unpost Gift Utility. It unposts both gifts and adjustments. I currently use it. However, it is a pain because every user except for yourself must be fully logged out of Raiser's Edge to run it.
