Create "Soft Credit Organization"
It would be nice to have an option to soft-credit an organization that works the same as the "soft credit spouse" menu item.

The "soft credit spouse" option is for past gifts.
If org has a relationship, on general 2 tab you can check box to SC org for gifts.
