Link recurring gifts to proposal records in Raiser's Edge

At present there is no functionality to link recurring gifts to proposal records in Raiser's Edge? In the real world proposals can lead to any sort of gift so I am not sure why this functionality is not included in the product. We make a manual note why it is unlinked but this is not ideal!

    We agree.

    If the recurring gift was linked to a proposal the pay-cash's could be automatically applied to the proposal whilst the recurring gift was linked. Should a new proposal then need to be linked to the recurring gift (in the case of an 'upgrade') the link should be moved to the new proposal and the subsequent pay-cash's added to the new proposal.

    Adding the pay-cash's manually in order to keep the 'amount funded' figure correct is not a reasonable task, either for the gift admin team or the fundraisers when it ought to be something that can be done automatically when the pay-cash's are added.
