Security settings should be set so that users cannot delete records if they don't know the standards your organization has for keeping/deleting records.
When one deleted a constituent with gifts, was there ever a warning that said "Are you sure you want to delete this record - there are gifts present"? There's such a warning when merging constituents, but not when deleting a constituents. I was hoping to find out if such a warning ever existed - I don't remember one, but my coworkers swear there was one. I'm not talking about the "YOu are about to delete the master record, and all associated subrecords" warning - the one I'm wandering about is specifically about deleting gifts.
I agree with the suggestion to add a warning message if one is about to delete a constituent who has gifts. There is always the chance of human error (even when one is well aware of the standards/rules). A warning message would help greatly to reduce this mistake from occurring.

Thx!
