We use this field extensively for documenting class registrations.
An infinite field size would be good, much like the Annotation field in Raiser's Edge.

The limitation of this note size is extremely frustrating. We use extensive notes to track our interactions with people at events, however we cannot do so with the current character limitation. This essentially forces us into extra, duplicate data entry to create an action just to track the event-based interaction notes since the Participant Notes field is lacking. This should be a simple any easy fix!
