This is mainly focused on the Event App but first, there isn't event ticket barcodes in Raiser's Edge. Second, there isn't a ticket printing feature in the Mail module of Raiser's Edge. Third, there isn't event tickets in Raiser's Edge. Fourth, the event app only works on that awful iPad. Fifth, none of the mobile apps scan barcodes despite every mobile device having the ability to do it.

In my ideal world, Raiser's Edge would out perform or at least match the functionality of Eventbrite who right now is kicking their ass royally. People can print their own tickets with 2D barcodes that an Android phone scans brilliantly to check them in at the event.

Raiser's Edge does printing projects so pitifully badly that I did my event's Name Tags and Place Cards all as Appeal Cards. I had to butcher information onto constituents records to make things available to the printing merge fields. Before I got here with my employer, people just exported everything to Excel and merged to Word, and I can see why. Not enough Avery Templates available, not enough freedom to place info I want where I want. Terrible graphics handling. No fine control over fonts colors and sizes. If I used the built in features to accomplish my paper needs the way Blackbaud intended, I'd look like I came out of the 1980's with a dot matrix printer.
