Email Annual Giving Statements (for tax purposes)

Every week, we send hundreds of e-Receipts to our donors. Every year, we mail Annual Giving Statements (for tax purposes). We would like to send our Annual Giving Statements by email. This is not possible. Please make this possible.

    This is possible by creating a new receipt stack (e.g. Annual eReceipt) in Config/Table and applying it to all the RG payments needing an e-receipt for the financial year you are receipting. Then you globally change the constituent receipt type (Bio2 field) for all regular donors with an RG payment to 'consolidated receipts' rather than 'one receipt per gift' and run your donors through the Mail function, ticking the eReceipt option and filtering for only the Annual eReceipt stack you had applied to all the RG payments - you would also need to create a new letter template sitting behind the receipt with some wording about the donor's support over the past year and change the date on the receipt to include the whole financial year (e.g. 1/07/19 - 30/06/20). There is a Blackbaud article about how to do this somewhere I think. nb - this is not to say the process is not fiddly or without many of the usual possible eReceipt errors!

    Wow! ...this idea was suggested in 2013 and still not available in 2019?!?!? As a newly converted org this is shocking! We should have stayed with eTapestry for so many reasons. The inability of this function will cost us hundreds of extra dollars and man hours to do a mailing all for information that is housed within RE. So happy we took the jump to go to a more expensive CRM that has brought us back to the dark ages for year end giving statements. #saveatree #emailhasbeenaroundsince1972

    We have hundreds of donors and the demand for annual receipts to be emailed is high. Currently these can only be emailed one at a time and by manually typing in each email address. We need to be able to email these Annual Giving Statements in bulk to all donors at the start of January. Please incorporate this into RE so it is ready for January 2016!

    Please add a feature that will enable annual giving statements and receipts to be emailed en masse. This feature will be of great benefit both to the school and to our constituents who prefer this method of communication.

    Our donors now expect user-friendly electronic receipts. We need the ability to bulk e-mail these to donors at calendar year end.

    This is a functionality which should be developed. I am surprised your customers have not demanded it before now.

    Adding this feature makes sense for your customers. The data is there, it makes sense to be able to pull this information in to communications not only for this tax statements, but also to have the ability to personalize communications.

    I also have many donors requesting e-Receipts for their End of Year Giving Statements. I have spent many hours trying work-arounds.
