It would be very helpful when attempting data mining or to determine if specific events have an impact on giving.

I agree, and think this is one feature which is highly overlooked within RE. Not a day goes by where I’m not pulling out my hair wishing there was an event summary in RE. We use event attendance not only to look at the success of events over the course of several years, but more importantly when pulling for our committees – such as reunion committees, homecoming, etc. For all of those we are data mining for prospects who not only have the capacity to make leadership gifts for their class but who have remained active and engaged through event attendance. I even have models built in which factor in event attendance, and right now I have to do a separate query of Participant = yes, count the duplicates (which usually translates into number of events), double check that within RE, and then go from there. It it’s an event that has been captured within RE, I don’t understand why a simple summary feature can’t be added, as I’m only looking for the NUMBER of events a constituent has participated in – I’m not even interested in the type.

This would be hugely beneficial for us as well. We use Events a lot and I've had to build some pretty complex Pivots and Crystal Reports to identify things like: number of Events invited to; number of Events attended; date of first (and last) event attended; and so on.

I agree as well especially when we are trying determine how engage our constituents are with our organization. The donations, actions and events attended are critical to us get true picture of how engage they are.

yes--this would be greatly beneficial, as our Alumni Engagement office wants to know who attended certain event year-after-year and how many events within the last 5 years.

I would love to see Last Event Attended as an option in export - just like last gift. It would be great to be able to pull that easily into an export!

Last event attended, first event attended - all with dates and total events attended would be very helpful. It is also key information when assessing an organization's readiness for a capital campaign. In other words, a consistent approach to database design would seem to make sense. The new upgrade that stores contact/phone type data apart from address makes sense with the introduction of cell phones, emails, socialmedia, etc. But why not go the mile and be consistent by also including date added/last updated? Another key piece of information when trying to keep several databases in sync.
