I need to set up a solution for printing Photo ID membership cards, but my users aren't very savvy when it comes to taking pictures and moving files between local and host accounts.
There are already a number of iOS and Android apps that can connect to a server via SFTP and send a photo directly from a camera phone or pad. I'd like to adapt one of these apps to allow images to be sent directly via SFTP to a default Photo Id file directory on the Blackbaud Host and to have my 'Photo ID File' field on membership cards default to ..\PhotoIDs\[Mem#].jpg
The existing 'Camera to FTP' apps can already remember the connection settings for an FTP site, I just need to add a text box to allow the file to be renamed to [Mem#].jpg before sending. If the 'Photo ID File' field is defaulted to [Mem#].jpg then we are all set.
Additional app settings would include a default photo resolution and aspect ratio to match the format of my membership cards.
On the Blackbaud Host side we would just need to be able to set a default image folder and filename for the Photo ID File link and have an error routine that can handle a Photo ID File that is temporarily missing.
For my users this needs to be as easy as Point, Click... Photo ID.
