The gift processing options in a query are helpful, but not so much when the default setting is one that your organization doesn't use. Because the soft credit default is set to credit the gift to the donor, users for organizations who prefer to run gift searches where the soft-credit recipient gets the credit have to remember to change this every single time they run a new query, which is a considerable waste of time. It would be immensely helpful to allow users to change the default settings for gift processing options in queries, so that we can control the soft credit recording in the way that our organization handles them.
