export dates should work intuitively not use some secret code
Example: event participation dates. They do not work if you put in a generic range to give you all events between those dates - you have to enter the specific dates. If you know the specific dates then you know the specific event so dates are not helping AT all.
Example: constituent codes. Knowing to put todays date in end date (or is it start date?) to get primary constituent codes is ridiculous. Give me a checkbox to include primary (or make it a separate category like you do in query)

Example 3: Solicitor codes - I want the one that they had assigned to them as of 6/30/12 regardless of whether or not it has since changed. Impossible to do. Date range filter should function this way - not be exact dates.
Example 4: there should be an "as of today" option in relationships when exporting, in addition to or rather than specific dates, so that you don't have to go in and change the export every time.
Would this also cover making end dates meaningful? For instance, Joey Dogooder was a volunteer from 2001-2006. So if I use constituent code to pull a list of volunteers on today's date (8/6/2012) he shouldn't come out on that list.
We don't want to remove the code, but we don't want screwy lists either.
this is exactly what this means. Currently you can get who was a volunteer today without Joey Dogooder but if I wanted to run a list of volunteers in 2003 he should show and currently that is not as easy as it should be.
I wish you can select which specific or list of events to output in the constituent export, in addition to other existing output criteria.
I would really like to be able to assign a priority level for constituent codes. For example, if your constituency code table has Alumni, Former Student, Friend, etc. We could (in the Constituency Code Table) define Alumni as 1st Priority, Friend as 2nd Priority, etc. regardless of how they are list in the constituent's individual record on Bio2.
It is baffling to me that this isn't getting more votes. I feel like I have to address this every time someone want to run a list of people with "current" codes.
I need to export only solicitors with a blank end date. Come on. Get export to work the way we need it to people!
