Can I make a recommendation that RE /Blackbaud look into this as a future patch? How am I supposed to supply Volunteers with accurate information if the database does not update itself here? where it does update itself in most other places?

[Ragan Cooper] There's not a global change that can be used to update Solicitor Goals other an import.
[Samantha] I am not sure what you are saying? why would i need an import? or how would an import help me?
[Samantha] I have no way right now to see the total target per solicitor
[Ragan Cooper] Please correct me if I'm wrong. I thought you were asking if there was a way to update the Goal field within an Assigned Solicitor without having to go into each record to do this. Am I incorrect?
[Samantha] Yes that is correct
[Ragan Cooper] Okay. So the only way to enter a Goal on a Solicitor record for all solicitors at the same time would be an Import. There's not another way to do this unless you want open each of their records and add their Goal.
[Samantha] Ok - so I need to export all of the individuals who have an assigned solicitor, then sort by solicitor, add up the target amount, then enter them into either an import or hand enter them into each record manually
[Samantha] to get the goals updated
[Ragan Cooper] That is correct
[Samantha] and if I add a target down the road and the solicitor goal changes there is no way for this to automatically update, I have to remember to manually change the goal
[Ragan Cooper] That's correct. Target and Solicitor Goals are not tied together so there's not a way for those to update automatically.
[Samantha] Ok - so I was not going crazy - it is just a bad system.
