missing a basic modern search function

I organization called "The Jon Doe Foundation" will not show up when I search for "jon doe" in either the quick find or the Last/Org field.

Can you please modernize your search algorithm just a little to be able to compensate for a user not entering "the" when searching for an organization?

    Put in an alias of 'Jon Doe Foundation' on your record or use an "*" in your search. While better search capabilities would be nice because there are ways to pull the record I personally think BB has other priorities to fix first. :) I have a couple I just know and plug in the "*" each time.

    Also make sure that you are using the \ to tell RE the correct alphabetizing. I use the * almost any time I am searching on records like this because I know it will help pull the correct results. JoAnn is correct in that aliases will help with this as well. But I also agree that the algorithm could learn be tweaked to ignore "the" and I've also had some issues with it not pulling certain records unless you enter at least 4 characters. But I also agree that there are so many other high-priority issues I'd like to see addressed first.
