I often have many fields of output that I need to change a date on, or add cash to. I want to be able to select (maybe a "shift - click") a few output fields at once to give them the same criteria. Instead, I have to go through each output field over and over again.
I am not sure I understand this? Are you talking about summary fields and being able to copy them and add them to your query (once or multiple times) so you can make slight edits to them? if so, I thought this was already a suggestion that has already been filed.
Ya - i think this is the suggestion you may want to vote for. It already has a ton of votes. http://rediscovery.uservoice.com/forums/137015-raiser-s-edge-discovery-topics/suggestions/2726935-re-design-query-to-have-copy-paste-facilities-fo
Yes it's similar. For example, if I have multiple summary fields in my output, all with different gift types, but with the same specific gift date range, I would like to be able to make one change to the gift date range and have it effect all of the summary fields at once.
That is the LAST suggesion I want to have BB take on. I nearly always having different summary fields with different dates and having them all update at once would eliminate my ability to do this. There are not magic buttons to writing queries - they are detailed and sometimes not easy. There are some things that can be made simpler but it will (and should) never be easy or "pushbutton".
