importing links to membership and recurring gifts

At the moment you can import membership transations and also Recurring Direct Debit gifts, but your unable to import the link from the gift to the membership. You can only update it manually or via the plug-in.
I would like to be able to import this informaiton at the sme time as importing the gift and link it to the memberships.

    I agree - we are having to undertake some changes of membership from one type to another and the inability to make this last change globally or through import is a real frustration leaving us with inaccurate data.

    I agree – It seems that only half the job is done and the rest needs to be done manually. Which kind of defeats the object of having a system to automate bulk processes.
