Recurring Actions
Have an option to create recurring actions in Raiser's Edge like you can in Outlook. For instance, I have dozens of grant applications that are due on the same day every year. It would be nice to be able to set these as recurring actions (E.G. XXX Foundation due every August 1)so that I don't have to manually go through my actions and create a new action each year.

I have invoices that need to be sent out on the first of every month and the only way I can find to do so at the moment is to copy the action into a new action. Being able to set the original action as recurring, like with Outlook, would help a lot
Yes, it would be very slick to be able to set this, especially if it had a function where the actions don't appear until they're within one year (so they're maybe created each year, all at once, for the upcoming year), that way it's not too much to look at.
Better yet for grants, if you could just make recurring proposals, that would be amazing too

Yes please. My team would like to be able to do this with various different actions on constituent's records. Some would be monthly calls, emails, etc.
I have the same request too. It is time-consuming to have to set up reminders every year.

I enter when grant window opens and grant window closes each year for our foundations. It would be great if the actions could repeat yearly so I don't forget to enter them each year.
Please create a way to multiple dates for the same action. For example an action reminder to notify a staff member to invoice monthly for 5 years on a 5-yr-pledge. Currently we must typing in 60 reminders to do this. On the gift tab, one can set up installments due monthly for 5 years in just sections. To remind someone to actually send them takes forever under the action tab. Is there any easier way to do this?
This is an excellent idea - one I was going to enter, but here it is. :) It would be great to just have a recurring action instead of having to set up action tracks for things that are the same action over and over and over...
This would be great for monthly recurring gifts. We have a donor who we email every month to notify her that we are going to charge her card, and it gives us the chance to update her on anything going on. Right now, we have this "reminder" on her record as an action. When it's completed, we just change the date and the remind on date so that it pops up again the following month. But this means that we don't have a trail of action records, only the one that we just change from month to month. I don't want to have to add a new action record with notes, etc. every month.
Excellent idea! How many of our daily RE Actions are unique? Most of them are repetitive to some degree, often on a regular schedule. It would be extremely helpful to enter recurring tasks once rather than over and over.
For now you can use action tracks - granted they can't be set indefinitely but you can create one that goes for 10 years or so and then add another action that reminds you to set up a new action track.
For me this would be most helpful for birthday reminders.
This would be very helpful as I have not had much success getting the Action Tracks to work for me.
This would be extremely helpful for me and my organization. We maintain monthly action records for about 30 different donors - to have to set up those events each month for each donor feels unnecessarily laborious.
