An organization is receives gifts from organizations that are actually from donors. The money truly comes from the donors' paychecks; however, the check reads their organization. It would be beneficial if we could add one check to RE and disburse the hard credit amount onto two donors records.This would be a better representation of the donation.
More and more, workplace giving campaigns provide the non-profit with a toll-free number or a web address with an invitation to register, to obtain details about a check they sent to a non-profit. Sometimes, along with the check, they give names and contact information about the employees who have donated. Other donations come in the form of a single check or credit card charge, with a list of the people who gave the money to a constituent fundraiser, who consolidates the funds but also passes along the names of the original donors. Right now, there is no straightforward way to capture this information in The Raiser's Edge.
