Unable to link one action record to multiple constituent records

I saw Knowledgebase doesn't provide a solution to link one action across multiple records. It seems to me this would be useful. I run Action Reports for our team and it would be helpful to see the Action only once on the report (connected to two or more record names if need be) instead of seeing the Action twice under different names.

Agreed. For example, if a fundraiser has a meeting/seminar/whatever with 20 people, I want to see one action record (because there was one meeting held, not twenty meetings). However, I want to see the action record describing this meeting on the constituent record of all 20 people. There needs to be an option with action records that is similar to soft-crediting for gifts. Only one gift record exists (so it doesn't get double-counted), but you can see it on multiple constituent records.

This is helpful when sending correspondence to a couple, that way you can see the action from either record.

This would be fantastic when e.g. dealing with organisations and you want to record a meeting you have on the records of the 3 people attending and the organisation - similar to how you can soft credit gifts.

This would be so helpful!!!! Please let actions link to several records. As Rachel Jones mentioned, soft crediting different actions would be amazing and time saving.

This would be WONDERFUL!!!!! Many of the alumni I work with also have family foundations. It would be great to link actions for the foundation to the individual family member - right now, I'm doing a lot of cross-referencing and duplication of actions!

This feature was available in our previous database, Datatel Benefactor. I was shocked to discover it was not available in RE. It seems like a basic feature. For major giving, we used it extensively for couples that were both graduates of our institution. For corporate giving, we entered the action in the corporate record and then easily cross-referenced the Action to the associated graduate/contact person in our database.

Is it possible to combine Discovery Topics? Another user has this same request here: http://rediscovery.uservoice.com/forums/137015-raiser-s-edge-discovery-topics/suggestions/3151793-share-action-with-individuals-foundations and has more votes.
